I recently provided residential interiors photography of this beautiful custom lake home designed and built by Deichman Construction. While the interior was incredibly fun to photograph, I was extra excited to get my drone in the air as this was the first commercial flight that I made as a licensed drone pilot! I have been flying drones since 2013, but when the laws came out, I resorted to outsourcing my drone work. With all of the traveling I have been doing, I thought it was time that I took the plunge and started flying myself again. I studied for a few weeks by taking an online course, reviewing some study guides, and taking some practice tests and passed on my first attempt – which, for someone who has never been the greatest test-taker in the world, it is a big accomplishment.

I am currently flying a Mavic 3 as my main drone with the Mavic 2 pro as backup in the event something should happen. As drones have become more relevant in recent years, I am excited about the new vantage points I am able to capture as an architectural photographer.
