Luxury Hotel Lounge Photography - The Joseph, Four Walls in Nashville
I recently had the opportunity to photograph the newly opened "Four Walls" lounge at The Joseph in Downtown Nashville. This dark lounge had all the vibes and no bad angles. My team and I were able to spend an afternoon working in this space, followed by an amazing dinner on the rooftop restaurant.
One of the things I enjoyed about my time at The Joseph is that every detail has a story. Everything from the materials used throughout the hotel to the space itself.
Four Walls is the kind of space that photographs itself. The design team layered material on material, burgundy ceiling forms suspended above backlit marble, leather stools against textured wall panels, red rugs anchoring velvet seating in every corner. The light was intentional and the angles were generous. While great care went into making each image - including lighting and minor staging adjustments… I had very little to do except respond to what was already there, which is exactly how I prefer to work. It is one of the more memorable commercial interiors I have had the opportunity to document.
The main bar at Four Walls, where the veined marble counter and burgundy ceiling installation set the tone for the entire space.
The entry framed by decorative beadwork, the polished concrete floors and marble seating giving way to the lounge beyond.
A detail of the suspended burgundy ceiling forms above the illuminated bar shelving, one of the defining design elements of the space.
Leather stools lined along the illuminated marble counter, the warm ambient light keeping everything moody and refined.
The backlit marble bar, bronze accents, and suspended ceiling feature photographed straight on.
The full lounge, velvet chairs and leather seating arranged beneath the sculptural burgundy ceiling installation.
A close study of the leather sofa, textured wall panels, and stone table, the kind of detail that makes a space feel considered from every angle.
Symmetrical lounge seating with a red rug and warm accent lighting, the textured wall panels giving the room a sense of depth.
