Photographed for Assembly A+B as the first installment of the Semi Silent series, this Hamburg Mountain residence in Weaverville, NC, is organized around the site’s highest flat area as a protected courtyard rather than a conventional building pad. The home moves between distinct indoor and outdoor zones, including the main living deck, lower porch, terraced landscape, and green roof off the primary suite. In four hours, with select frames shot on film, I focused on the restrained interiors, floor-to-ceiling glass, dark exterior forms, and long mountain views.
