Flat Mountain Farm sits in the Appalachian Mountains of Highlands, North Carolina, with a mix of antique barn architecture, rustic cabins, stone chimneys, warm wood interiors, and layered, hospitality-focused design. The property has that hard-to-fake sense of age and texture. Weathered siding, log walls, stonework, metal roofs, and wide mountain light all show up in the photographs. I photographed this both for the previous owners of Flat Mountain Farm before it was sold to its current owners, and for the 5th installment of my Semi Silent series.
