Ok, so I lied. OCCASIONALLY, I will have some meaning behind the images I end up with, but it is usually an afterthought after the image is created. In this case, I saw an opportunity to take a nice panoramic shot from Clingman’s Dome near Gatlinburg, TN which is apparently the highest point in the Smokie Mountains. Anyway, I remember being frustrated that this tower was in the way, so I snapped the photos with the intention of possibly cropping it out in post. Well, after looking at it during post, some “meaning” started to form. Interpret it how you wish, but you’ll see what I mean if you look closely.
